Project of the Month: The Evans Transformation in Bradenton

Let’s be real for a second, being a homeowner in Florida is basically a full-time job of worrying about things that could fly away in a hurricane. You’ve probably felt that frustration, right? You want to upgrade your outdoor living space, but you feel like you’re FORCED TO CHOOSE between two extremes.
On one hand, you’ve got the "Chuck-in-a-truck" guys who promise a low price but deliver work that looks like it was held together with hope and a few rusty screws. On the other hand, you have the big corporate outfits that treat you like a number and charge you a price that could buy a small island.
At FrameOne Construction, we think that choice is garbage. You deserve better. You deserve QUALITY WITHOUT COMPROMISE.
This month, we’re taking you behind the scenes of a massive transformation we just wrapped up for the Evans family right here in Bradenton. This wasn't just a "screen job", this was a full-scale evolution from a cluttered, aging porch to a high-end, engineered sanctuary.
THE BEFORE: The "What Were They Thinking?" Phase

When we first met the Evans family, their back porch was... well, it was a vibe. But probably not the vibe they wanted.
As you can see in the photo above, they had these old wooden railings that were basically just waiting for the Florida humidity to finish them off. The space felt cramped, cluttered, and disconnected from the rest of their beautiful Bradenton home. It wasn't just an eyesore; it was a wasted opportunity.
When you look at a space like this, you shouldn't have to imagine what it "could" be: you should be able to live it. The Evans family knew they wanted a change, but they didn't want a flimsy screen that would rattle every time a summer storm rolled through. They wanted something SOLID.
PHASE 1: The Engineered Foundation (No Shortcuts Allowed!)

Too many companies try to build a heavy aluminum structure on a "good enough" slab. Spoiler alert: In Florida, "good enough" is how you end up with a tilted room after the first big rain.
We don't do "good enough."
We started by tearing out the old and getting down to the dirt. We poured a professional, engineered concrete foundation designed to hold real weight. This isn't just about making it look level; it's about making sure that foundation stays exactly where we put it for the next 50 years.
BETTER QUALITY starts from the ground up! If the slab isn't right, nothing else matters. We handle the entire process from slab to screen, so you don't have to play "phone tag" between three different contractors.
PHASE 2: The Block Wall (Building the Backbone)

This is where the Evans project really started to pull away from the competition. While most guys would just slap some screen mesh from top to bottom, we went with a structural block wall.
Why? Because it’s STURDY AS HECK.
A block wall gives the room a sense of permanence. It makes it feel like a part of the house, not an "add-on." Plus, it provides a massive boost to the structural integrity of the entire enclosure. When the wind picks up (and we know it will), this wall isn't going anywhere. We build everything to meet or exceed FBC REQUIRED UWS WIND LOAD ENGINEERING. That’s the difference between sleeping soundly during a storm and staring at your backyard wondering if your screen room is going to visit your neighbor.
PHASE 3: The Stucco (The Art of the Match)

One of the biggest complaints we hear from homeowners is that their new addition looks like a "sore thumb" stuck onto the back of their house.
Not on our watch.
We applied a professional stucco finish to the block wall, meticulously matching the texture and style of the existing home. This is where our 21+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE really shines. Tony (that's me!) spent years in the trenches as an installer before moving into management, so I know exactly what it takes to make a transition look seamless.
When we’re done, it doesn’t look like we "added" a room. It looks like the house was always meant to have it. That’s the BETTER BUILD promise we live by every single day!
THE FINAL RESULT: Quality Without Compromise

Look at that transformation! The clutter is gone. The rotting wood is a distant memory. In its place is a clean, modern, and incredibly strong outdoor living space.
But here’s the secret sauce you can’t see in the photos: INTERNAL FASTENING.
Most companies leave screws and bolts exposed all over the place. It looks messy and cheap. At FrameOne, we use internal fastening techniques whenever possible to give you that "Clean-Line" look. It’s a small detail that makes a HUGE difference in the final aesthetic.

The front view shows off the "Quality Without Compromise" philosophy perfectly. It’s sleek, it’s permitted, it’s engineered, and it’s built to last. The Evans family now has a space where they can actually relax without worrying about bugs, heat, or structural failure.
Why FrameOne? (Tony's Perspective)
I’ve seen it all in this industry. I’ve seen the overpriced companies that don't listen, and I’ve seen the cheap ones that disappear the moment something goes wrong. I founded FrameOne Construction because I wanted to offer a RELATIONSHIP-FOCUSED SERVICE with SOLID PRICING.
We aren’t just building aluminum structures; we’re building trust. When you work with us, you get:
21+ Years of Hands-on Experience: I’ve been an installer and a General Manager. I know how these structures fail, and I know how to make sure they don't.
Licensed & Insured: We don't cut corners on the legal stuff. You’re protected from start to finish.
Honest Communication: No games. No hidden fees. Just high-quality work.
Whether you're in Apollo Beach, Tampa, St. Pete, or right here in Bradenton like the Evans family, you deserve a space that makes you proud to be a homeowner.
Ready for your own transformation?
Stop settling for "good enough." You wouldn't buy a car with no brakes, so don't buy a screen room with no engineering! Let's build something that actually adds value to your life and your home.
